Tough Questions. Big Decisions. Changing Relationships.

The youth ministries of St. Luke’s create an environment where students realize they belong to a God Who designed them, knows them, passionately loves them, and redeems them. By connecting their spiritual and social lives, pre-teens and teenagers are equipped to stand strong in their relationships, confront struggles with confidence, and transform their lives through faith.

St. Luke’s recognizes that the needs of pre-teens and teenagers are diverse.  To cover the full spectrum of developmental needs, three youth groups exist:

  • LOL Rock - 5th and 6th Graders
  • JAM - 7th and 8th Graders
  • Youth INC - 9th through 12th Graders

I have had the pleasure of working at St. Luke’s in a variety of roles since 2001. Currently, I am serving as the Director of Family Life Ministry. I am attending Concordia University Nebraska, where I am working on my Master of Science in Family Life Education and Master of Arts in Gerontology. My husband Rick works for Walt Disney World and we have two daughters, one in 11th grade and one at UCF.

Believe it or not?  I love working with high school students!

Megan Skelton

After serving St. Luke’s as a DCE Intern, I joined St. Luke’s ministry team as Director of Christian Education in August 2013. My main areas of responsibility are middle school and children’s ministry. I graduated from Concordia University Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and certification as a Director of Christian Education in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. My husband, Ben, works at St. Luke's Lutheran School teaching fourth grade. Originally from the Midwest, we are enjoying life in Florida.

Believe it or not?  I don’t like being hot, but I loved my three summers I spent living outdoors working at a Lutheran camp in Oklahoma.
