DEDICATION! October 30, 2016
THANK YOU to everyone who assisted in the project. Thanks be to God!!!!
Approved! At the May 31, 2015 Voters' Meeting, our congregation approved our Equipping the Saints Project. Our new facilities will allow us to enhance our school ministries, take new strides forward in our youth ministries and better equip members of all ages to be the disciples of Christ to the world. Tentative completion is October 2016.

Fields done. Roofs going on!
The sod has now been laid on all the soccer fields. Our new, all bermuda fields look beautiful. The extra dirt that we dug up from the pond seems to be making our lower fields much more usable. The crown in the field is helping them drain back to the pond as we were hoping.
The exciting part to watch has been the steel roof trusses. The brackets were welded and then the trusses are welded onto the brackets. Once those are set, the steel decking is added and then the multiple layers of roofing material on top of that for strength and water proofing. Take a look at the videos on your Youtube channel!
The walls are going up!
Progress seemed to slow a little in April but we are still on track. The walls of both the gym and the family life addition are almost complete. All the concrete headers and corners have been poured in preparation for the steel roof trusses.
Our sod on the upper soccer field was laid and the fence was finished. We should be ready to play on it in about 6 weeks! The lower field area was crowned and irrigation was installed. We also completed more work on the dry pond area and the swales (used to carry water back to the pond).
Keep praying for our construction crews!
The buildings will start to rise up this month!
March 28: Work continues to grade the upper soccer field in preparation for irrigation and sod. We will also put up fencing along the pond this week and begin grading the lower soccer fields. Walls get higher and forms will be set in place for poured sections of the wall. Thank the Lord for great progress and the safety of everyone so far!
March 21: The crew is working to finish several projects before Easter. These include the remodeling of the hallway that serves as a new entrance on the north side of Founders' Hall and the new parking areas on the north and east sides. The walls will continue to rise!
March 14: It doesn't seem like much to report but there is a lot of concrete block being placed. The block does have rebar inside and poured concrete which all works to make one very sturdy building. Work continues on parking areas and field grading as well.
March 7: The walls are starting to go up on the gym. Final underground work is being finished on the Family Life Center. The muck is mostly gone and they will start to lay sod around the pond. Pray for the safety of concrete workers.
Enlarging the pond and building pads are underway
February 22 - The footers of the gym are being poured this week and the pad for the Family Life Center will be finished this week. The pond is getting larger and larger and soon the trucks will begin hauling away the muck.
February 15 - Dirt is being moved, compacted, and formed. Underground plumbing and electrical is being put in place. The rebar arrived this week to begin laying in preparation for the foundation of the gym.
February 8 - Duke Energy completed running new lines last week ahead of schedule! Now the prep work for the foundation and footings will begin. A lot of dirt will be moved around this week. Pray for our engineers as they continue verifying details of all the plans.
February 1 - The retention pond is getting larger. The dirt will be used for the new buildings and to redo the soccer fields. Any muck will need to be hauled off-site. Pray for safety of the big equipment drivers.
We had a great start to the work in January.
January 25 - This week we will be removing pavement in front of Founders' Hall, moving our propane tank and finalizing site work so that underground work can start. Please pray for Russell, our project manager.
January 18 - Silt fences will be installed this week. These help stop construction 'dirt' during storms to help keep our water systems cleaner. Please pray for Matt, our construction superintendent, throughout the project.
January 11 - Site work begins. Fencing is being erected. Spaces are being cleared. Pray for all workers that will be involved in our project.
