St. Lukes Lutheran School

Adult Education

At St. Luke's, we offer opportunities for reflecting, thinking and feeling in the context of Christian learning that bring us closer to a deep, personal relationship with Christ. These communities of learning foster ongoing spiritual growth, deeper relationships and a yearning for more. All to develop a deep abiding sense of God's presence and activity that shows itself in all aspects of life. You are welcome to join any class at any time.

Work as Worship - Starts Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 9:30 am, Meeting Rooms 1/2
Description:   Many Christians—from the CEO to the teacher to the stay-at-home mom—spend a great deal of time working and yet do not realize how their work intersects with their faith. Scripture, however, makes no division between the sacred and secular parts of our lives. God gives us our work, talent and skills so that through them we might worship Him. This six-part Bible study resource will challenge all of us to consider the reason God calls us to work. God gives us great potential for impact on our families, churches, communities and the world through the blessing of our work.  Teacher: Steve Lehenbauer

Conscious Discipline - Starts Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 9:30 am, Media Center
Description:  In a sea of self-help and parenting books, Conscious Discipline provides a proven and comprehensive approach that will improve both your life and the lives of your children. It empowers you with the self-awareness, brain information, developmental knowledge and usable skills necessary to create safe, connected, problem-solving homes.  Teacher: Ileana Barbari

The Mission of Jesus - Starts Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 11:00 am, Cafe
Description:  In John 17:26 Jesus says "I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known..." In this fourteenth volume of That the World May Know, you'll deepen your understanding of this passionate revelation to a broken world God longs to redeem. Discover  how Jesus triumphantly made God's presence known on Earth, and how he asks you to do the same — bringing God's shalom to the chaos of others.  Teacher: Tom Hultgreen
