Faith that Grows

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” - Psalm 119:105

Psalm 119 is a devotional on the Word of God.  Its author was passionately devoted to the Word of God as the word of life.  At St. Luke’s, we feel the same way.

We believe that God’s sovereign and unchanging Word governs and maintains all creation. Our identity flows out of activities and conversations centered in God’s Word.  We are created, redeemed, and sustained by the living and active Word of God.  Education opportunities nurture understanding, personal spiritual growth, deeper relationships, awareness of the Holy Spirit, and a yearning for more, energetically moving us closer to a deep personal relationship with Christ.

When at our best,  we offer Christian Education for all ages that guides us to an understanding of the Holy Scriptures through the Lutheran Confessions. We actively foster the development of ongoing personal spiritual growth to generate excitement that comes by regularly participating in the rich learning environment of an “outstanding community of believers.”

“Because there are still so many hindrances and temptations
of the devil, our new life in Christ should be one that continually
develops and progresses.” - Martin Luther
